Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be met by our friendly representative and transferred to your cozy lodge in Arusha. Nestled near the base of Mount Meru, this bustling safari town is the perfect place to rest and prepare for your upcoming adventures. In the evening, meet your guide for a safari briefing over dinner, then retire early in anticipation of the days ahead.

Day 2: Arusha $\to$ Serengeti National Park (Central)

After breakfast, set out for the famous Serengeti National Park, driving through ever-changing landscapes—from verdant highlands to the iconic savannas. En route, you may catch glimpses of Maasai tribespeople herding their cattle against a backdrop of rolling hills. By mid-afternoon, arrive in the central Serengeti, renowned for its abundant resident wildlife and stunning granite outcrops known as kopjes. Enjoy your first game drive, keeping an eye out for grazing zebra, lurking predators, and towering giraffes. As the sun sets, settle into your lodge or tented camp for a hearty dinner and a night under a star-studded African sky.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drives in Central Serengeti

Rise with the sun for an early morning game drive when wildlife activity is at its peak. Watch in awe as lions scan the horizon for prey or a swift cheetah pursues a Thomson’s gazelle across the grasslands. Return to camp for a leisurely lunch and some relaxation, then head back out in the late afternoon for another game drive, timed to catch predators stirring in the cooler hours. Back at camp, share the day’s highlights around a crackling campfire before turning in to the nocturnal sounds of the Serengeti.

Day 4: Exploration of the Southern or Western Serengeti (Seasonal)

Depending on the timing of the annual wildebeest migration, you’ll explore either the southern or western corridors of the Serengeti. Southern Serengeti’s open plains are a calving haven for wildebeest between December and March, while the western corridor along the Grumeti River offers dramatic river crossings around May to June. Witness massive herds thunder across the grasslands, pursued by hungry predators. Whether in pursuit of the migration or seeking out quieter corners of the park, each twist of the track reveals a new wonder in Africa’s most famous safari destination.

Day 5: Serengeti $\to$ Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, bid farewell to the Serengeti’s rolling plains and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, you can opt to stop at Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site famed for its fossil discoveries that reveal clues to early human evolution. Ascend to the crater rim in the late afternoon, taking in the sweeping views of the Ngorongoro Crater—a 2,000-foot-deep caldera that teems with wildlife. Settle into your lodge on the crater rim, and savor a sunset silhouetting the highlands before dinner.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Descent & Game Viewing

Rise early for a descent into Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” This collapsed volcano floor is a self-contained ecosystem where large predator and prey populations live in close proximity. Lions stalk across lush grasslands, herds of zebras and gazelles graze peacefully, and if you’re lucky, you may spot the endangered black rhino browsing near the crater walls. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside a hippo-filled lake, then ascend in the late afternoon, returning to the rim for a final night overlooking this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 7: Return to Arusha & Departure

After breakfast, journey back to Arusha, taking in the last glimpses of Tanzania’s dramatic landscapes. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to explore a local craft market or enjoy a leisurely lunch in town. Then, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your outbound flight. Depart Tanzania with incredible memories of the Serengeti’s endless plains, Ngorongoro’s wildlife-rich crater, and the enduring spirit of Africa’s natural wonders.
